Hi I am Kotaro Yajima.
Chums is my favorite clothes brand. Have you ever heard this brand before? Its logo is this.

Those birds are called "booby birds". They look like penguins with red socks, but they aren't. A booby bird is cheerful birds that mainly inhabits from Ecuador to south Mexico. Sailors and fishermen call them "bobo" because this bird is friendly and doesn't have cautiousness. There are red-foot booby birds and blue foot ones.

They look so cute, don't you think? The reason why Chums has chosen this bird as a image character is that they wanted to be a friend company like this bird. 


The first product was created in 1983 by Mike Taggett, a Colorado River guide, and his friends in the state of Utah. It was called Original Chums retainer, a simple, comfortable way to keep their expensive sunglasses out of river. Now more than 20 million retainers are used in more than 40 countries, and they are selling cool, colorful, and fashionable bags and clothes all over the world. I am the one of Chums lovers and users. If you like their products, try them. It's not so pricey!!

Hello, guys!!
I'm Yuki. I'm talking about "LeSportsac". This company sell many kind of bags such as handbags, totes, bachpacks and so on. Also, the most important feature is thousands of patterns. We can pick up favorite one from them.

Since this company has been established in NY in 1974, they have succeeded all over the world. Why is so popular among women especially? There are two reasons according to HP in Japan. (HP in English)

1, Follow each style
Their policy is shape of bag suits purpose. For example, you take "Asana Yoga Bag" to Yoga class on sunday morning or you pack your lunch in this favorite "Lunch Box" during working days. You can choose one depending on your purpose.

2, Original patterns
New original patterns are arrived by designers on every month. So, we can always find new one. It makes our heart jumping. Also, they release collaboration items with guest artists regularly. It is exclusive!! Now is this.

Actually, I love patterns such as dots, stripe, leopard and so on. That's why I love this brand. There are thousands of patterns!! I am always looking forward to checking new patterns. I have had 5 items since I bought first one as I was elementary school. They are very tough!! Also, they are soooo light!!And, all items is washable. Have you ever knew that? I think it doesn't sound familiar. Anyway, I strongly recommend these bags if you are looking for something new bag!!

Blog#6: Mizuno

Hi! I'm Noriko.
Today, I'll talk about my favorite brand, Mizuno! It's very famous sports brand. So many athletes use stuffs from Mizuno because Mizuno covers almost every kinds of sports.

Every sports shoes that I've worn since I entered elementary school is Mizuno. Mizuno fits me better than any sports brands such as NIKE, Adidas, puma and so on. I've lived with Mizuno.

Now I want to get this shoes. Mizuno is the brand for people who like sports. But this shoes is made for people who want to get habit of running but don't have enough time to do it. In other words, this shoes called "casual training shoes" is for normal people. But it includes special technique of Mizuno. That's why it's attractive for me. The older women including me become, the more they need to think about fashion. So, they tend to forget about health for their foot and legs. But actually it's necessary to care about our body. The pink one is pretty, isn't it? If you haven't had shoes from Mizuno, I recommend you to try. Your body needs Mizuno!

Blog#5 CNN,Facebook announce "America's Choice 2012" partnership

Hello, everyone!!
I'm Yuki. I'm going to talking about election.

In 2012, the biggest decision is coming in USA. It is a presidential elecion. New president will be voted by American after president Obama will finish up his term of 4 years. Then, CNN and Facebook start a event called "America's Choice 2012". (Article is here.)

A purpose of this event is to offer American people oppotunities to share their thoughts and feelings on candidates and critical issues about the country. Users on Facebook can communicate thier ideas by using an app called "I'm Voting". CNN give them questions about the political conventions, presidental debates and Election Day approach. Also, Facebook report the aggregate amount of disccusion surrounding each candidate.

In Japan, low voting rate of young age generation is problem. I think one of reasons is they are not interested in election. However, this event help them to have curious because social media is close to them. Also, it makes important connections between citizens and candidate. Therefore, I like this idea. What do you think? Let me tell your opinion!!

Hi I’m Shiori. I am talking about MUJI.

In 1980, Muji is established with an original line-up of household products and foods, based on its concepts of "selection of materials," "streamlining processes," and "simplification of packaging." And the business developed on December: Muji sales corners are established in the food and daily items sections of Seiyu stores, and Seibu Department Stores and Family Mart shops start selling Muji products. In 2012, Muji has 173 stores all over the world.

The reasons I love Muji, are “good design” and “good price”. For example, storage and furniture. They are so simple(material color and square). Actually I have used PPstorage boxes since last year, they suit my room well. I think Muji items can suit any room.So if you want any new storage or furniture, search in Muji!

Blog #4 Tokyo is most expensive city

Hi I’m Shiori. I am talking about interesting news,  “Tokyo takes over as world's most expensive city for expats”.
STORY HIGHLIGHTS

·         Housing costs are the biggest indicator of cost of living, researchers say

·         Euro crisis caused many European cities to fall in rankings

·         Asian cities make up five of the top 10 most expensive cities

As the news said, housing costs is expensive in Tokyo. Instead, you can go to the convenience store by walk, go shopping and hang out friends by train easily. Do you think living Tokyo is expensive? And have you compared with the price of other cities?

Blog #5: Power Saving

Hi I am Kotaro Yajima.
It doesn't seem to be a rainy season, don't you think? and summer is coming. But this summer is going to be more uncomfortable than usual, as last year. We have to save electricity because of the problem of nuclear power plants. We have to do every thing we can save energy and we need to think out good saving plans. This is an example in Osaka. There are bunch of shops and shopping streets there, they are planning saving electricity, such as changing lights to LED which is blighter and uses less electricity. Do you know "Kuidaore Taro"? It's a robot in Doutonbori. It's famous and is drumming in front of a shop.

Since it's a robot, it needs electricity to drum, but people have decided that he, this robot, will be turned off during this summer. It's very small but it does save energy. He says "I'm not lazy, saving!" We have to every thing we can do this summer.
