Blog#1: My favorite place

Hello, everyone!! How are you doing??
This is Yuki Kasahara. Recently, It's keeping a nice weather in Japan, isn't it? It's neither humid nor deadly hot like the middle of summer. So, I strongly recommend going to picnic. I'm going to introduce "Shinjukugyoen" where I went during Golden Week. It is a perfect picnic place :)

Getting off at the Shinjuku station, you head toward there on foot in 10 minutes through high buildings. Let me give you a suggestion!! You are better purchasing something you want to eat or drink before entering there. You can buy them inside but they are a little expensive. So, I recommend to take your favorite foods and beverages to park. Also, DON'T forget to purchase a ticket!! It's 200yen an adult. ( junior high school or elementary school student : 50yen, infant : Free) Finally, you are ready to go into there. Walking over the beautiful grass, you must forget that here is the heart of Shinjuku. When I went to there with my lovely friends, we did a potluck party. We spent a great time chating over potluck lunch. There were lots of people in the park. For example, there were a family with children, taking a nap business man who wore a suit and necking couples lol. I swear you can spend a great time doing anything you like!! Do you want to go? Check here.
This is a map. It's a huge park.

Beautiful view of nature and buildings

  2. Hi I'm Kotaro Yajima.
I've been there but that was more than 10 years ago, but I can remember that this park is so huge that we can't imagine it's located in the center of Tokyo. I agree it's the best season to go picnic. Shall we go sometime???

I've never been there though I live in Tokyo for more than 20 years..!
I should go there, and I'm sure that I can be relaxed so much.

  4. Hi Yuki, this is Ms. MacGregor. Thank you for your interesting post. Can you please fix your writing mistakes? You have quite a few, starting with the second sentence. And,"You get off at Shinjuku station" is the correct way. And you have several more errors. Can you find and fix them?
I agree that this is a good place for a picnic and your advice to bring your food and drinks is good too. I did that when I went there a few years ago. Even though it was a warm day, it was amazingly cool in the park - and it was quiet! As I recall, there are not many benches so it is better to take your own mat for sitting on the grass.
