Blog #2 My favorite movie

Hi I’m Shiori. I am talking about my favorite movie, “Pay it forward”. Do you watch a movie? And what is the reason you watch a movie? I have three reasons. The first one is to study English. As you know, watching movie is good way to study language. You can hear the daily life English and know their behavior. The second reason is to think our society and my life well. The last one is just for entertainment.

Let me introduce “Pay it forward”. A eleven years old boy, Trevor, is in the US. One day his teacher gives the class an assignment to think and put into action a plan that will change the world for the better. Trevor's plan is a charitable program based on the networking of good deeds. He calls his plan "Pay it forward", which means the recipient of a favor does a favor for three persons rather than paying the favor back...

If you watch “Pay it forward”, you can be more kind.I attached the video clip below. Please check it out, and if you have any favorite movies, please let me know!

Blog #4: Britain's obesity death rate

Hi I'm Noriko.
This blog is true Blog #4. Previous Blog #4 of mine about Islam is actually fake...no just mistake! Sorry!

I'll talk about News about health area. Do you know overweight is a big social problem in Britain. Around one in every 11 deaths in the UK is now linked to carrying excess fat. This rate is 50% more than the rate in France. Britain is the "fat capital" of EU, but this problem is not only for UK but also for the whole of EU. One in two in the EU is obese or overweight. France has the lowest death rate from being obese and overweight though they don't eat less saturated fat than British and have similar cholesterol levels. Doctors are not sure the reason of it, but it has been suggested that drinking alcohol particularly red wine protect them.

If you want to know about Britain's fat problem, you get some information from here.
This is a so funny video from BBC. It may help you understand why Britain is the "fat capital"!!

Bonus Blog: Feel Islam in Tokyo

Hi I'm Noriko. I'm going to talk about one of my favorite place in Tokyo. It is the biggest mosque in Japan named Tokyo Camii placed in Yoyogi Uehara. The number of believers who come every day is  5~10 except Friday. 350-400 believers come on Friday, when the main pray is held.It is also popular places to visit, so non Muslim can enter it with ease. The number of visitors per year is 13000.

Visitors can enter a place of worship, where is amazing beautiful!! You can see it here. The patterns on the wall are Arabic calligraphy. Each one has meaning from Quran, which is the bible of Islam. Moreover, we are allowed to see believers praying inside it!! When I went there, I could hear a man singing for pray. That was also very beautiful. Women must put on a skarf inside a worship place, but it isn't annoying. As for me, wearing skarf let my emotion calm down.

Tokyo Camii is advancing to spread people's understanding for Islam, so it gives some materials about Islam for free. If you want to get something about it more, you can get it in a shop in Tokyo Camii.

If you're interested in religion, architecture or arts, it worth visiting once. This is the official page of Tokyo Camii.

I got them for free.

It's a very beautiful Islamic song.  I can't stop listening to it. I recommend to listen to it at night especially you're mind is calm. It made me think about people's religious backgrounds because I'll never be able to have absolute faith in God like Muslim. Anyway, you don't have to listen to it with seriousness. If you're not familiar with Islamic music, it's interesting :)

Blog #3: My favorite artist

Hi I'm Kotaro Yajima. I'm talking about my favorite artist, The Beatles.
As you know, they are a world famous band ever. It's members were John Lennon, George Harrison, Ringo Starr, and Paul McCartney. 2 of them are alive and the others are death. This band has already been broken up but its songs are still been using in many scenes, such as TV commercials. I have been listening to them ever since I was little, I guess around five. When I was little, I didn't know who they are or what they are singing about but melodies have stuck in my mind. As I studied English, I gradually became able to understand their lyrics. I used to like their early years' songs because those songs are uptempo and made me feel happy. Also I liked positive love songs so I always listened to them. Nowadays, I like their latter songs. The songs are calm and seem to have secret messages. (for example, maxwell's silver hammer)

When I was a high school student, I played the bass guitar. The reason why I chose not guitar but bass was I love Paul and he is an amazing bass player. I wanted to be a good bass player like him!! Now I don't belong to any band so I cover their songs with an acoustic guitar on my own. It's pretty fun but I want to play with someone and want someone to listen!

I can't stop talking about The Beatles. There are too many songs I love so I hardly can choose my most favorite one but I upload two good songs I love. First one is named "If I fell"(1964) and next one is named "With a little help from my friends"(1967)

Blog#3: The devil wears prada2!?

Hey, you guys!!
I am Yuki Kasahara. I am going to talk about one of my favorite movies. It is "The Devil Wears Prada". I guess anyone have already watched it because it is popular one. ( Especially, girls!?) Let me tell you a story a little bit. When Andrea first sets foot in the world's most fashionable magazine office called "Runway", she knows nothing. She has never heard of this magazine, or its feared editor, Miranda Priestly. Soon she knows everything too much. She is developing as a human being through struggling with Miranda.

This news (click here) inform us that Andrea is coming back!! The author "Lauren Weisberger" will release a sequel called "Revenge Wears Prada: The Devil Returns" in next spring. However, it's not dicided to turn it into a movie. I'm a fan of this story. I watched it many times and red the book. Actually, movie is a little bit different as compared with original book. Anyway, I hope it's going to be good one. Can't wait!!!!

Have you never watched it?? Check trailer!!
